my teeth hurt. so bad that i can't sleep, despite a sleeping pill and 10 mg oxycodone. i found a dentist that opens at 8 am. i am hoping to switch myself to that one anyway, i'm just not sure how much of a pain in the ass my insurance is going to be about it. especially considering how much i tried to get done today, and how little i ultimately accomplished. Ok. My main insurance still won't approve the provigil, there is a block on my insurance credit card because of some labs i paid for with it in MAY (it worked from may til last month, so i don't know what the deal is), my dental plan seems to indicate that i won't be listed under my new dentist until March, i couldn't get anyone on the phone for the dentist or the credit card, my gynecologist is requiring a yearly visit to refill my birthcontrol even though i saw her last june, i can't refill another prescription until Medco gets in touch with my PCP, and when I went to refill my sonata and oxycodone, the wait was 45 minutes so i had to leave it and come back, even though it's not a pharmacy near my house at all. My other unsuccessful errand from today was to try to go finish painting a mug i started in JULY. Unfortunately, when i arrived at the pottery place, i discovered that they are closed on tuesdays. Really, tuesdays? who picks that as their day off. sigh. oh well. when i got home i at least managed to get some cleaning in. and then the pain got so bad i felt nauseated, but realized i'd already taken probably too many various pain relievers for one day, and didn't want them to eat a hole in my stomach. especially considering the fact that i couldn't even try to mildly buffer the situation because i neither had an appetite, nor wanted my teeth to have to do any work. so i watched some House with Cory, finally decided i'd take the oxycodone, since it doesn't seem to give me GI issues, but it doesn't seem to have done me much good.
I am supposed to work tonight and tomorrow night, but at this point, that can't really happen until something happens with these teeth. because if i go to work like this, i won't be able to focus, eat, or sleep well, and if i take enough pain meds to be remotely comfortable, i don't think thats legal to work under the influence of.
I just don't understand, i really feel like i've been doing a good job keeping up with the brushing, flossing, and mouthwashing lately, but things have just gotten unbearable in the past two days. I just looked in my mouth again. my gums have swollen significantly since earlier this evening. other than that though, my mouth looks normal, and clean. on really close inspection i might see the tiniest cavity on the planet, but that is on a tooth that doesn't even hurt, so i don't know what the deal is. cory is convinced i need a root canal. yikes! at this point, though, i feel like my whole left jaws are going to jump off my face, so a root canal beats that i suppose.
its annoying, tonight is a great group of people to work with, and of all my shifts recently, this is the one i want to call out of the LEAST. boo. plus we are supposed to have cupcakes! Bah! well if i do have to call out, maybe i'll make cory drive me down there to visit :)
ok, i'm going to try to doze a little more til 8 or 9.
